Critics' Review:
"A lush, medium-bodied wine with an extroverted personality, this starts with aromas like butter, vanilla and toasted baguette, then emphasizes ripe pear and yellow-peach flavors. A soft texture and lingering finish completes the picture".

"The 2014 Grayson Chardonnay is brilliantly ripe and shows bright, brisk acidity and good minerality with notes of pineapple and apricot. The palate offers green apple fruit with a crisp finish showing gentle hints of apple pie and vanilla flavors".

My Review:
I was able to imbibe this wine during the same outing when I had the Angeline Pinot Noir. Both obviously different, specifically this one being of the chardonnay variety. This wine is a great example of a starter wine because it is a reasonable price per glass, and the flavors mix well for a white wine. This chardonnay had buttery flavors as well as light hints of fruit, but I noticed more of the "butter, toasted baguette" flavors the first critic's review explained. I tend to think that most chardonnays have a toast-like flavor, or as I call it "a burn" or "charcoal" taste. However, the wine itself went down very smoothly, so it seems the mixture of tannins produced a combination of mouthful experiences. I enjoyed Grayson Cellars Chardonnay because of this unique experience, and would definitely recommend!
