This wine has fruity aromas of grapefruit and lemon. It has a very crisp, refreshing mouthfeel and has a pale yellow, straw color. It is noted that this wine has white peach and various tropical fruit flavors. I definitely noticed an herbal finish to the wine perfectly mixed in with the citric acidity of the wine. It is noted that there are mineral components to the wine as well, which I did not notice. This sauvignon blanc was extremely refreshing with strong notes of acidic, tropical fruits and fresh cut grass that are typical of this region and sauvignon blancs in general. The wine was a little more on the dry side with a medium body so I thought that pairing it with gruyere cheese. This type of cheese is native to Gruyere, Switzerland. It is smooth to the touch and mouthfeel and reasonably firm on the outside with a more creamy, semi-soft texture. To taste, the cheese is somewhat fruity and nutty so it paired well with the fruitiness of the Loveblock wine. This pairing greatly complimented each other and enhanced the main components of the cheese and wine. I also cut up a few slices of swiss cheese which of course, is native to Switzerland as well! This cheese also has similar components to that of gruyere so I knew that it would also be a fabulous pairing. The semi-sweet, nutty flavors in the swiss cheese enhanced the fruity, herbal flavors of the wine perfectly. Overall, this pairing was superb!
