Critics' Review:
"In the glass, this wine is ruby in appearance with sharp colors and reflections. It took a while for legs to form. Once they did, there were many slow falling tears on the sides of the glass. The wine’s aroma was multifaceted. A good whiff of alcohol was noted. We all suspected the wine was aged in oak from its nose. But after that we struggled to notice any other significant aromas. We finally settled on there being a hint of cherry in there. We described the wine’s taste as a combination of green and red fruits, with a hint of cherry coming through. Consensus was that the wine’s mouthfeel was of linen. We all enjoyed the soft tannins, noticed mostly on the inside of the cheeks. Finish of Angeline Pinot Noir was long and not overpowered by the tannins".

My Review:
I absolutely loved this wine! For the reasonable price per glass I was greatly impressed. I thought that the medium body of the wine was perfectly paired with the charcuterie board that we enjoyed with the wine. I definitely picked up on light tannins in this wine, as noted in the critics' review. The description of "linen" I thought was spot-on and described the feel of the wine perfectly. The variety of the grapes were stronger in sweet, yet dry, fruit flavors, and as explained by my server, contained flavors of cherry and tart berry. I thought this wine covered all aspects of a great glass of red wine. The tannins weren't too strong and the "pucker" did not overpower the flavors- they mixed perfectly. The aroma was subtle enough to not scare away a first-time red wine drinkers or underwhelm experienced ones. I would definitely drink this wine again, as well as recommend it to anyone looking for "friendly" red wine to enjoy.
