Tasting 9: Bota Box Pinot Noir
Name: Bota Box
Variety: Pinot Noir
Region: Chile Valley
Country: Chile
Year: 2016
Price: $18.99
Location: My apartment!
This is one of my favorite wines! Not only because the price is great for about 3 liters of wine, but the pungent flavors leave me always coming back to this wine. This pinot noir has dark brick colored, like a black cherry. It is very earthy and spicy to the smell and taste. I can always taste a slightly medium level of tannins that taste of oak has a full body. I greatly enjoy this wine especially by itself because it is easy to drink and very enjoyable in any setting. This wine also has slightly fruity components of medium-dark berries like cherries and rhubarb to taste. Bota Box Pinot Noir is very versatile and could be paired with a variety of foods. I have personally paired it with bruschetta, chicken sandwiches, Hawaiian pizza, and various cheeses to name a few! I always suggest this wine to my friends because like the box says, "Take us anywhere." It's the perfect wine for any adventure.

Critics' Review:
"A solid, chunky, extracted effort, centered on rich dark berry, mocha, savory herb and light cedar notes. Well-focused and persistent on the finish, ending chewy. Drink now. 550,000 cases made.—J.L."
