Critics' Review:
"The 2014 Bodkin The Victor's Spoils Sauvignon Blanc is a wild white wine made for real wine lovers. Not just your every day "cocktail" slightly sweet white wine, but this wine shows excellent dried citrus and stone fruits, with bracing acidity. Drink now with raw oysters on the half shell."

"This has a vibrant yellow-gold color and aromas like fresh herbs and sliced celery. Almost electric acidity pulses in the crisp grapefruit, lime and melon flavors that lead to a lingering finish. The vivid freshness and tangy texture sets it apart from the crowd, and it will work wonderfully with foods from raw oysters to roast chicken."

My Review:
This wine was fabulous and filled with flavors and aromas of crisp grapefruit and celery. it is a light-bodied white wine. The color is yellow-gold and has high acidity. It was greatly enjoyable and paired well with my meal which was a seafood bisque. This wine helped balance the rich flavors in the soup that contained crab, lobster and other light colored fish. The freshness of this wine left a lingering taste of crispness that felt almost electric. The terroir of Lake County allows for smaller grapes to grow well within the hill/ mountainous region. This wine will definitely be added to my list of go-to's because of its light, freshness and I could see myself enjoying it at an outdoor concert and a beautiful spring day.
